and more! Self Guided Field Trips- Bring your group to the CDM and explore at
your own pace. Learning Lab/Self Exploration Combo- This combo offers groups a more
facilitated learning experience in addition to self exploration of
the Museum. Museum in Motion- Bring the excitement of the Children's Discovery
Museum to your school or facility! Program Topics- The following topics are available either at the
Museum as a learning lab or at your school as a Museum in Motion.
Free Floor Programming- You never know what might be going on at the CDM! Join us for exciting physics demonstrations and special
activities in our 3rd floor art studio. On the Go- Let us do some of the work for a school assembly,
festival or special day at your school.
Scout Programs- Calling all scout troop leaders! Sign your troop up
for a scout program. The Children’s Discovery Museum can provide
Badge Workshops for local scouts.
Professional Development- From Teacher Workshops to treks in
the great outdoors, there is something for every educator at the
Children's Discovery Museum!
Lending Trunks- The Discovery Museum is excited to host
several lending trunks from the Illinois Department of Natural
Resources’ Division of Education (DNR) and the Illinois-Indiana Sea

Expanding Our Reach Scholarship Program- The Expanding Our Reach
Scholarship Program is designed to provide opportunities for all
children and families in Central Illinois the chance to nurture the
love of learning through the power of play.
