Homeschool Programs at the Children’s Discovery Museum

Ages 5-13 years old
Delve into a world of exploration during a two hour, drop-off program designed to stimulate a child’s interest in science, art, literature, and culture with age-appropriate, hands-on activities. Cost includes program and Museum exploration for one child. Program cost: Museum members $10/non-members $13. MIN/MAX: 5/15

Earth Day Celebration

Help celebrate our planet with various activities. Learn the history behind Earth Day, play the “Recycling Relay” game, make a recycled art project and more!

Water Science

Water, water, everywhere! Study the water cycle and make a water cycle bracelet. Learn why some objects sink and some float in the water. Discuss pollutants that harm our water and participate in a water taste test!

All About Astronomy

Become a space explorer as we learn about the world beyond the Earth. We’ll experiment with shadows and tell time with sundials. Make an edible solar system and phases of the moon and more as we delve into amazing world of astronomy!

Wonderful Weather

Environmental Science

Explore environmental science topics such as pollution, acid rain and landfills. Build your own mini landfill and examine if a landfill really works, investigate air and water pollutants and observe how acid rain affects the water cycle.
