Discovery Day Camps

 

K-5th grade (August programs are for children entering grades 1-6)
Join us at the Children’s Discovery Museum for a day filled with fun! All Discovery Day Camps are centered on a theme and include various hands-on activities, Museum exploration and snack. Camp is held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (Summer Discovery Day Camps meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Camp attendees will be separated into groups according to age/grade level. Please note that the Children’s Discovery Museum does not open until 9 a.m. Therefore, camp participants and their parents/guardians will not be allowed to check-in for camp until 9 a.m. – No Exceptions. Children must also be picked up promptly at the end of the day.

Campers must bring a sack lunch or pre-order prior to the day of camp an Avanti’s Lunch from the museum for $5. The Avanti’s Lunch includes a 1/3 gondola, bag of baked chips, applesauce, and a 100% juice box (no substitutions allowed). Lunch orders must be placed prior to the day of camp.

Advanced registration is required at least three business days prior to the program for all Museum classes. Payment must accompany registration. Cancellations must be received at least three business days prior to the start of the program to receive household credit. Camp cost is $30 members and $35 for non-members.

Feeling Buggy

It’s summer time and the bugs are out! Let’s take a closer look and explore the world of bugs. We’ll investigate a variety of bugs, learn all about the anatomy of bugs and even create bugs of our own.
