Physics Day - Aerodynamics
Ever wonder why a heavy airplane can fly high in the air? Or how a baseball pitcher can throw a curve ball? Join the ISU Physics Club to explore aerodynamics, the science of flight.

Our eyes are the windows to our world, and the light that we see helps us make sense of what is around us. Come and explore light and color with the ISU Physics Club through hands-on activities. You'll see how light behaves, how a rainbow is formed, and meet the famous ROY G. BIV!

NanoDays
Kick off NanoDays and delve into the world of the very, very small as we investigate Nanoscale Science and Engineering! Discover how nanoscale science and engineering impacts our daily lives as well as the development of amazing new applications for the future. Investigate the macro, micro and nano scale, check out a unique memory metal, watch in amazement the properties of liquid iron, test how nanoscale science and engineering is applied to fabric and other products, play with magic sand and become a scientist working at the molecular level.

World Culture Day
Curious about different countries and their unique cultural characteristics? Step into our classrooms to explore a variety of activities, story time and crafts representing diverse cultures from around the world. This program is presented by ISU Elementary Social Studies Methods students.

Physics Day - Waves
Water waves on the ocean, on a pond, or in a swimming pool are only one kind of wave. Light and sound also travel as waves, and you may have even been part of a wave in a stadium. The ISU Physics Club will bring demonstrations that will fascinate you as you can make waves on a slinky, see your voice, and explore other waves on your own!

The Game of Life Around the World
What can young children learn about children from a global perspective? Find out when students from ISU's Children in Global Perspective Sociology class visit the museum. These college and graduate students will provide interactive learning experiences sharing some of what they've learned in a way that's tailored to young children. The program draws inspiration from the classic children's game, Life, which helps children conceptualize many aspects of human experience. Content will repeat every 20 minutes.
