Every day volunteers and interns help make the Children’s Discovery Museum “the most wonderful place in the world”. Volunteers spend their time interacting and playing with our visitors, help keep the museum tidy, lead free programming and assist with education classes in and out of the museum!

Camp Volunteers

Volunteer Requirements  


  • Age 13 or older
  • Friendly and enthusiastic
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Consent to a background check (if under 19, no background check is required but applicant must have guardian's consent)
  • Attend a volunteer orientation

Group and Corporate Volunteering 

If you are interested in a group volunteer opportunity for one time projects or events, please complete the following form and we will contact you about available opportunities. Opportunities include behind the scenes projects such as program preparation, exhibit maintenance and cleaning, program facilitation or special events.

Individuals 

All volunteers must complete an orientation class and a background check (if over 18) before they join the fun. Orientation pre-registration is required by filling out our Volunteer Profile.

Saturday, May 19, 10:00-11:00am
Saturday, May 26, 10:00-11:00am
Friday, June 1, 10:00-11:00am, 1:00-2:00pm and 3:30-4:30pm

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Orientation pre-registration is required by filling out the Volunteer Profile.
