Books and Bots

Join the Normal Public Library on select Friday's as they showcase some of the amazing tech toys you can check out from the Library! Enjoy hands-on fun, the chance to sign up for a library card and the opportunity to check out books.

Art Around You: Exploring Contemporary Art in the Community 

The Children’s Discovery Museum has been awarded The Mirza Arts and Culture grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, Inc. (IPCF) which helps fund this program. 
Visit University Galleries and participate in a scavenger hunt to help you discover the style and media used to create works of art. Then return to the museum where you will explore these styles and media as you create your own art.

Sensory Friendly Night 

It’s a family night of play for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other sensory processing differences!  Experience all three floors of interactive exhibits and a comfortable and inclusive environment.

Family STEM Night presented by teens from Unity Community Center 

Join us for some fun, hands-on STEM activities for the family!  Teens from Unity have been working all semester with CDM staff and ISU mentors to learn new STEM concepts that they have turned into activities to teach our guests.
