DayofPlay_September-01

Imagine an entire day devoted to play!

Day of Play happening on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 10am-3pm, transforms Uptown Normal into a giant playground for kids and parents to experience the power of play together! More than 60 local vendors will feature interactive, engaging, and exciting PLAY activities.  The CDM Education staff will feature a host of STEAM experiences! PNC will have a brand new area this year with their Mobile Learning Adventure, a PNC Grow Up Great initiative, complete with a “When I Grow Up station,” Science Craft Area, and Vocabulary Word of the Day Activity!  Attendees will also enjoy stage performances, Kids Make and Sell, Bike Rodeo, and Touch-A-Truck area as well as $4 admission to the Children’s Discovery Museum!

Day of Play embodies our mission of “Inspiring the love of learning through the power of play.” The whole day is FREE and designed to provide opportunities for all kids and parents to play and learn together! Fun, physically engaging activities are central to a healthy lifestyle. This national initiative created by Nickelodeon in 2005, marked by a whole day of activities, encourages children and families to turn off screens, set down electronic devices and go outside to play.
