Day of Play presented by PNC embodies our mission of "Inspiring the love of learning through the power of play." The whole day is FREE and designed to provide opportunities for all kids and parents to play and learn together! Fun, physically engaging activities are central to a healthy lifestyle. This national initiative created by Nickelodeon in 2005, marked by a whole day of activities, encourages children and families to turn off screens, set down electronic devices and go outside to play.

Day of Play, happening on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., transforms Uptown Normal into a giant playground. More than 60 community partners will feature interactive, engaging, and exciting PLAY activities. The CDM Education staff will feature a host of STEAM experiences! Attendees will also enjoy stage performances, a bike rodeo, and touch-a-truck area as well as $4 admission to the Children's Discovery Museum!
