If your family is not quite ready to attend in-person programs, but you are missing Miss Erin’s hands-on activities, we have a kit option for you! Kits includes a link to Miss Erin reading a story. Kits include directions and most supplies needed for three hands-on activities that focus on STEAM based learning through fine motor, process art, and sensory exploration activities. Supplies not included are common household materials such as a cookie sheet, large mixing bowl, measuring cups, etc. A newsletter will be included that will offer bonus activities to try with items from your house or your backyard, Miss Erin’s recipe for the play dough of the month, and suggestions for books to read that go along with our month’s theme.
Additionally, there is an option to receive a toy from our lending library. You would be able to play with this toy for 3 weeks before returning it to the museum. If you wish to borrow a toy with your kit, please select yes on the registration question.

April 17, 2021, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Your Home - Live Streamed from the Children's Discovery Museum
We invite you to support the 17th annual Doctors in Concert to be held virtually on Saturday, April 17 at 6 p.m. Your participation supports Prescription for Play, a new outreach program at the CDM.
Prescription for Play is a partnership between the Children’s Discovery Museum and local pediatric healthcare providers that is designed to break down barriers to play, encourage regular play and help parents understand the benefits of play for their child’s future. Play isn’t just fun, it’s brain building.
Our local physicians recognize the incredible resource the CDM is to young learners in our community and the importance of establishing a lifelong love of learning. Our doctors have come together once again to perform classical and contemporary melodies on piano, violin, cello, and guitar for our annual Doctors in Concert to support this important initiative.
Digital access and additional instruction for the concert will be sent to the email provided during registration.
