  1. Early Childhood Program Kit Pick Up Dates- Spring Planting

    If your family is not quite ready to attend in-person programs, but you are missing Miss Erin’s hands-on activities, we have a kit option for you! Kits includes a link to Miss Erin reading a story. Kits include directions and most supplies needed for three hands-on activities that focus on STEAM based learning through fine motor, process art, and sensory exploration activities. Supplies not included are common household materials such as a cookie sheet, large mixing bowl, measuring cups, etc. A newsletter will be included that will offer bonus activities to try with items from your house or your backyard, Miss Erin’s recipe for the play dough of the month, and suggestions for books to read that go along with our month’s theme. Additionally, there is an option to receive a toy from our lending library. You would be able to play with this toy for 3 weeks before returning it to the museum. If you wish to borrow a toy with your kit, please select yes on the registration question.

  2. Art Around You Exploring Contemporary Art in the Community- Student Annual

    May 22, 2021, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    Join us for an in-person, hands-on art exploration experience! As a class, take a live virtual tour of University Galleries led by their staff and then explore new art styles and media as you create your own artwork inspired by the tour. Registration closes 7 days in advance of program and will need a minimum of 5 students to run. All participants are required to wear a mask for the entirety of the program. Students will each have their own table and set of supplies- materials will not be shared with other program participants. Age: 7-10 years old Free with pre-registration thanks to a grant from Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, Inc. (IPCF)
