Proceeds from Craft Beer Bingo supports the Children’s Discovery Museum Foundation. The Children’s Discovery Museum has endured an entire year of closure from the pandemic but has continued to serve more than 40,000 people and counting with take-home kits, digital programming, and reimagined events. Your support will ensure we emerge and reopen ready and able to serve families with the power of play!

  2. Summer Camp Discovery- Upcycled Art: Taking the Old and Making it New (Entering Grades 1-6)

    July 16, 2021, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

    Have you ever heard the phrase “One person’s junk is another person’s treasure”? During this week of camp, we will be taking “junk” and making new and exciting art with it. Use your creativity to inspire others using found objects, old items and “junk.” We will work with Habitat for Humanity’s Chairs 4 Change fundraiser to paint chairs to auction. Cost includes camp, snack and materials. Payment must accompany registration. Registration deadline 1-week prior to camp. Camps fill quickly so register early. 72-hour cancellation required for refund. Bring a packed lunch.

  3. Innovation Station MakerSpace Hours

    The Maker Space allows children and families to use real tools and materials to design, make, tinker and create projects on their own. Kids can take stuff apart and learn the inner workings of machines, build and make cool things, and just experiment and explore.

  4. STEAM Challenge Workshop- Paper Engineering

    July 16, 2021, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    Ages: Children in grades K-5 and adult What can a simple sheet of paper do? Come and find out! You and your family will be challenged to engineer a structure out of only sheets of paper and make paper move on its own! STEAM Challenge Workshops offer parents and children an opportunity to engage in hands-on STEAM based learning and exploration together. Each program consists of instructor led discussion of STEAM principles and various STEAM challenges that parent/child pairs will work together to solve! Participants are required to wear a mask for the entirety of the program. Classes will be limited to 5 adult/student pairs. Each program will need a minimum of 2 adult/student pairs to run. Programs are designed for a child and a caregiver to attend and enjoy making something together.
